Brazilian Butt Lift in Atlanta, GA
The Brazilian butt lift has become an increasingly popular procedure in recent years because it dramatically improves your body contour by increasing volume and firmness in the derriere. To learn more about this procedure, Contact Mang Plastic Surgery, a state-of-the-art facility in Duluth, GA, led by board-certified plastic surgeon Dr. Brandon Mang, and serving residents of Atlanta, Alpharetta, and nearby communities.
What Makes The Brazilian Butt Lift So Popular?
The Brazilian butt lift is a cosmetic procedure that uses the patient’s own excess fat extracted from problem areas such as the abdomen or thighs to increase volume and firmness in the derriere. By transferring unwanted fat from target areas and injecting it into the buttocks, a shapelier and firmer derriere can be sculpted, enhancing the overall body contour.
Why Consider A Brazilian Butt Lift?
Perhaps your derriere has become saggy and flaccid as a result of dramatic weight loss, pregnancy, or the aging process. Or your overall body contour looks a bit too flat in the back, detracting from your overall appearance. If you would like to enhance the appearance of your backside, a Brazilian butt lift may be the ideal solution for you.
Who Is The Ideal Candidate For A Brazilian Butt Lift?
Almost any healthy adult may be a good candidate for a Brazilian butt lift, but we recommend that you contact our office for a consultation with Dr. Mang to determine if this treatment is right for you. Factors such as your age, gender, the condition of your skin, and the amount of fat you have available for fat transfer, as well as your aesthetic goals, will help Dr. Mang determine whether this procedure may be suitable for you.
How does the Brazilian Butt Lift work?
The Brazilian butt lift involves a two-fold process that is usually performed as an outpatient procedure. The first part of the procedure involves the extraction of fat cells from problem areas, which are processed, then injected directly into the buttocks to sculpt a firmer and shapelier contour. Since the fat comes from your own body, the transferred product is easily integrated into the surrounding tissue, where it continues to grow, producing gradual, long-lasting improvements. Finally, Dr. Mang will incorporate the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to help maximize the effect and kick-start the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
Are There Any Complications Associated With A Brazilian Butt Lift?
Because the procedure uses the patient’s own fat cells, there is very little risk of any adverse reaction. In some patients, fat reabsorption may occur, causing the body to reabsorb the transferred fat. Many plastic surgeons address this possibility by over-filling the buttock area during the procedure to compensate for fat that the body may reabsorb. Follow-up treatments may be required to further augment the buttocks if the body absorbs more of the transplanted fat than was originally expected. Some patients may also experience minor discomfort after a Brazilian butt lift, such as aching, soreness, bruising and minor discoloration of the skin. All of these symptoms may be managed with medication and typically resolve themselves within a few days.
What Can I Expect After a Brazilian Butt Lift?
We recommend that you plan to take it easy for a period of about two weeks after the procedure in order for your body to heal fully and optimally, both at the donor sites and in the fat transfer area. The healing process varies from patient to patient, but you should be able to return to work after one week and slowly resume your regular physical activities after two to three weeks.
You will be prescribed medication or advised on the best way to alleviate any discomfort you may feel after the procedure. Patients who are experiencing minor swelling and bruising may benefit from applying arnica to the treated area.
