Facial Plastic Surgery

Eyelid Lift (Blepharoplasty)

Surgery of the eyelids, also known as blepharoplasty, is frequently performed in conjunction with other facial procedures. As people age, muscles weaken, skin stretches and fat accumulates around the eyes creating a tired or stressed appearance. The ideal candidates for this procedure are 35 and older, but if a loss of elasticity in the eye area is a hereditary trait, you may decide to have eyelid surgery at a younger age. An eyelid lift can give you a younger, firmer eye area by removing excess skin, fat and muscle. However, it cannot remove “crow’s feet,” eliminate dark circles, or lift sagging eyebrows. Brow Lift

People often show the first signs of aging in the brow and forehead area. A brow lift can smooth out the wrinkles, and correct drooping brows and heavy lids to provide a refreshed, younger appearance. In the past it was common to wait until after 50 to have facial cosmetic surgery, but today nearly one-third of those seeking facial rejuvenation surgery are between 35 and 50 years old. Improved modern surgical techniques can give patients beautiful natural-looking results that in turn delay the aging process. Brow lifts are often performed alone, however some patient may desire to have the procedure done in tandem with other facial rejuvenation procedures such as a facelift and blepharoplasty. Cheek and Chin Implant

High cheekbones and prominent chins have usually been considered a sign of strength. Some women, as well as men, wish to have a more angular and strong looking face. The best candidate for these procedures is an individual with a long narrow or round face and/or flat cheeks. In some cases, a cheek implant can postpone the need for a facelift for several years as well as restore some lip fullness. Learn More »

Forehead Lift

If you feel as though you look tired, stressed or angry all the time, it could be because with time, the forehead can sag, causing hooding of the upper eyelids. The forehead lift procedure aims to restore a more youthful, less tired appearance. A forehead lift is often performed in conjunction with a facelift and/or eye surgery. Skin is tightened, but a forehead lift will not change the texture of your skin or remove any previous scars or age spots. It can give you a more youthful appearance, though you may consider other treatments to improve the texture of your skin. Learn More »

Nose Reshaping (Rhinoplasty)

Because the nose is considered the most defining characteristic of the face, a slight alteration can significantly improve an individual’s appearance. Many people seek nose surgery (rhinoplasty) for many reasons that include being unhappy with the nose they were born with, the way age has changed their nose, to improve breathing, or to change the way an injury has altered its appearance. Ear reshaping, also known as otoplasty, is intended to place protruding ears in a more natural position. This surgery may be performed any time after the age of four or five. By that time, the ears have reached 85% of their adult size so there will be little, if any, subsequent change. Learn More »

Lip Augmentation

Lip augmentation may be performed on most adult males and females to help create fuller lips. This procedure may also help reduce wrinkles around the mouth. There are two common methods: injections and implants. Injections can provide quick results with a limited recovery time, while implants will be more long-lasting. Learn More »

As people age, the effects of gravity, exposure to the sun, and stresses of daily life can be seen on their faces. The facelift procedure, also known as rhytidectomy, does not stop this process, but it can return youthfulness to your face. A facelift will tighten facial skin, remove excess fat deposits and reinforce underlying muscle tissues, giving you a more rested, youthful look. It is often performed in conjunction with eyelid surgery and/or brow lifts. The ideal facelift candidate ranges in age between 40 and 60 years of age, although some of the most successful outcomes may fall below or above that age range. Learn More »

Neck Lift

A neck lift procedure, also called submentoplasty or platysmaplasty aims to eliminate sagging neck skin and give patients a well-defined neckline. Neck lift surgery targets the excess skin and fat of the neck with significant slimming, tightening, and smoothing results. In some cases the neck lift is performed in tandem with a face-lift but often this procedure is performed alone. Learn More »

Fat Transfer

One of the effects of aging is the decrease of fat and volume in a person’s face. Also referred to as micro-lipoinjection, a fat transfer procedure is a method of facial contouring that uses an injectable treatment to give the patient more volume in such areas as lips and cheeks, correct hollowness around the eyes or even filling in deep wrinkles. This procedure transfers a patient’s own fat cells from other areas of the body. Learn More »
